A FANTASTIC WORLD IS WAITING FOR YOU!
In the evenings, when all work on the fields and in the stables is done, the people of Leet, a tiny village, gather in the tavern to listen to a vagrant story-teller. They hear about dark horrors roaming the forest at night, listen to tales of old, faraway realms, are spellbound by news from faraway wars, lost treasures, hidden dragons – and by the deeds of those heroes living through all these adventures. But still, in the end, few dare to follow the story-teller on his journey. Will YOU be one of them?
SET OFF TO YOUR VERY OWN ADVENTURE!
In this game, you portray a hero in ABOREA, a medieval fantasy world, a hero of your own choice: play a human, elf, dwarf, halfling or gnome. Choose freely whether your hero should be male or female, cunning or strong, a skillful speaker and brave swordsman – or just a clumsy fellow whose heart is in the right place. You, and only you, determine whether your hero is a skillful thief or a priest of an old deity, an honorable warrior, a mysterious ranger or a wizard able to unleash the powers of magic!
EXPERIENCE YOUR VERY OWN FANTASY STORY!
ABOREA is a pen & paper role-playing game. You will not need a game board of plastic figurines, but only dice, pens, paper and a lot of fantasy to play: one of the players acts as game master to direct the adventure, he describes what the heroes can see, hear and experience during the game. “WHAT WILL YOU DO?” is his central question, and glorious victory is always just a die roll away from deadly peril. In contrast to computer role-playing games, there is no limit to what the players and their heroes can do when pooling their creativity. If they don't want to fight the dragon, but find a way around it or even trick it – that's OK!
A TRULY NEVER-ENDING, FUN-TO-PLAY GAME!
Your players' heroes start the game as inexperienced adventurers in the little village of Leet. From here, however, their trip will continue to lead them to new and faraway adventures, and each challenge will increase their experience, make them stronger in battle, cleverer and also wiser. Step by step, village lads grow to be true heroes – and maybe even living legends of ABOREA.
What stories will the people of Leet tell about your hero some day?
